I found out today that the band Al Howard and the K23 Orchestra are calling it quits. The band's last show is Dec. 5th down in San Diego at Winston's. From what I gather, it is a decision that was made mostly for financial reasons. This is completely understandable with today's economy and the mere fact that surviving on an artist's income is usually one step above homelessness.
What I don't understand is the fact that, on the same day that I read this sad news about a band with so much talent and potential, I also learn that Britney Spears has made the cover of Rolling Stone for the seventh time. Huh?... What?
